Labels can sometimes be viewed as a negative thing – but for many neurodiverse people, having a label for their experience is enlightening and validating.
Especially for those diagnosed later in life, the ability to put a name to something can allow a neurodiverse person to feel like they’re part of a community of people like them – instead of feeling alone and isolated.
